Emergency Aid and Disaster Management is an important field within the health sciences that aims to protect the lives, health, and safety of individuals and communities in emergencies and disasters and is grounded in scientific knowledge, practical skills, ethical values, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Today, the changing and increasingly diverse nature of disaster risks has heightened the need for competent professionals who can make rapid and sound decisions, demonstrate effective crisis management skills, and apply scientific thinking in their professional practice.
As the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, our goal is to educate professionals who keep abreast of national and international developments, embrace evidence-based practices, uphold ethical values, think analytically and critically, work effectively as part of a team, and regard lifelong learning as a fundamental professional principle.
